WHISTLE™ Health & GPS+ (SWITCH™) has removable batteries, so you never have to worry about your pet's tracker being out of charge!

To detach and attach a battery, follow the steps below:

Note: When you first receive your Whistle Health & GPS+, it may be easier to remove the collar from your pet in order to change out a battery. Over time, the springs will become easier to manipulate and you'll be able to change a battery without disturbing your pet!

To remove a battery:

1. Locate the two tabs (one on either side of the battery) located on the short sides of the battery, near where the collar plate meets the collar

2. Squeeze both tabs simultaneously and lift the battery straight up to detach it

To attach a battery:

1. Ensure there is no dirt or debris on the collar plate or underside of the battery

2. Line up the white dot on the side of the battery with the white dot on the side of the tracker body

3. Press battery and collar firmly together until you hear a click

4. Check for a flashing blue light on the tracker to indicate it has been reset

5. Place collar back on your pet if needed, and get back to adventuring!

Question:

Why do I need to apply force when engaging a Health & GPS+ Battery to a Health & GPS+ collar?

Answer:

Health & GPS+ uses pressure to seal the battery connector, ensuring the device can handle being submerged in water for extended periods of time. Force must be applied to the battery until you hear a clicking noise. The clicking noise denotes your Health & GPS+ battery is fully engaged. Health & GPS+ will work even if the battery isn't fully engaged, but it's best practice to ensure your Health & GPS+ battery is fully engaged when swapping batteries.
