By Default, the map shown on the Location Tab will display North at the top, South at the bottom, East on the right and West on the left side of your screen.
If you twist the map using 2 or more fingers, a compass will appear in the upper left corner of the map.
The red tip of the compass will always point toward the North.
When your map returns to display North at the top of the screen again, the compass will disappear from view.
