Before getting started, ensure you've met these criteria:
- your phone has Bluetooth enabled
- the Whistle app also had Bluetooth permissions set to 'allow'
- your Whistle and phone are both within 5-10 feet of your WiFi router
If you are setting up a new account, you'll need to add a Safe Place. These are associated with a specific person's account, so if an added Family Member is the owner of the Safe Place, only they will be able to edit or delete it
1. Tap the Human icon on the right side of the bottom menu
2. Tap Safe Places
3. Select your Safe Place
4. Tap the Edit WiFi icon (looks like a pencil & paper)
5. Select the pet you are pairing to WiFi
6. Select your network, then enter password
7. Tap Confirm
Whistle Fit or Health Devices:
To add a new network:
Tap on the Pet icon in the bottom menu
1. Tap on Settings (the gear icon) in the top right corner of the profile
2. Scroll down to Battery & Device
3. Tap App Connectivity
Make sure Bluetooth is enabled and all Phone pairing steps are followed.
Follow the steps to add the network again (make sure that your device is on the charger and within 5-10 feet of the Wi-Fi router)
If you have multiple pets with a Whistle FIT, you will have to add the network to their devices by following the same process.
To delete a network:
1. Tap on Settings (the gear icon) in the top right corner of the profile
2. Scroll down and select Wi-Fi Networks
3. Tap the trash bin icon on the top right of the network and confirm that you want to remove this network.
If you have multiple pets with a Whistle FIT, you will need to delete the network from their devices by following the same process.
Is your Whistle device not connecting to WiFi?
Make sure you have the correct permissions set by tapping on the Human icon
Then tap on Whistle Permissions
If there are any icons that look like a red circle with a white exclamation point, tap the alert and follow the steps to resolve
If you are still having trouble, your WiFi settings may be non-compatible with Whistle devices, but you can check your settings and reference the article below to make sure everything is compatible.
