My WHISTLE™ GPS Device Does Not Light Up and Will Not Charge

When to use this article:

1. If your WHISTLE™ device has no light when plugged in for the first time
2. If your Whistle device has no light when plugged in after using it for a while

 

For a Whistle device that has no light and is not charging, please try the following:

1. Try plugging your Whistle device in using a different charging cable

2. Move your Whistle device to another outlet, or try a computer USB port

3. If you are using a wall adapter, ensure the power output is 5V 1 amp. Incorrect power output could damage the device

4. If your device still won't charge or illuminate the LED while plugged in, follow the steps below to reset it

 

How to Hard Reset:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the Whistle device, and the USB end with the reset button plugged into a computer or an AC Adapter.

  2. Press and hold the reset button on the end of the charging cable for 10 seconds

During this time the LED on the Whistle device will turn off, and once you have released the button, the light will turn on either green or amber within a few seconds (depending on how full the battery is).

Note: If a hard reset does not resolve the issue after two attempts, please contact our support team for assistance and do not re-attempt the reset
