What is the Health Report?

The Health Report gives a detailed view of your pet’s health insights.  You can view all of your pet’s health trends over the last 30 days. Each health trend is shown as a 30 day bar graph of their daily totals.

Your pet’s Health Report lives outside of the WHISTLE™ App at a link that is unique to your pet.  Bookmark the link, save it for later, or reference it from the App so you can view the long term health insights of your pet.

Link Sharing

Link sharing allows you to send this link to your vet, family, friends, or anyone that might be interested in your pet’s health trends. Your link is specifically unique to your pet and will be updated everyday as new insights are uncovered. When turning link sharing on, the link will be available to anyone that knows the link. If the link is turned off, the link will not be available for anyone. Only the pet owners have the ability to control link sharing.

Who to send the Health Report to

Feel free to send the Health Report to anyone that might be interested in seeing your pet’s health insights. If you start to notice some unusual behavior and are planning on scheduling a vet visit, use the “Email a Vet” button to send the link to your vet so you can monitor your pet’s health together.

Why 7 day averages?

Your pet’s health statuses are based on 7 day averages to ensure that you’re being alerted on consistent behaviors, rather than a short term fluctuation. 7 day averages help Whistle make accurate behavior predictions for your dog and generate health Insights

Why is estimated data shown?

Sometimes the device needs to be removed for charging or other reasons. In these cases, we use your pet’s historical trends to construct an estimate of the lost data, taking into account the time-of-day and day-of-week for which the data is missing. We never make decisions or send alerts based solely on these estimates, but they help us to tell a story of your pet’s health and behavior that is less affected by missing data.

What to look out for in the Health Report?

The Health Report is great at helping you quickly identify days that had a behavior flare up, when a behavior started getting worse, or when it started improving. Each bar of the graph shows the daily total amount of that metric.  Each bar is color coded to the status of that day. The color legend can be seen to the right of the graph if viewed on web and below the graph if viewed on mobile.

When to expect a Notification

You will only be notified when your pet's 7 day average status increases to an elevated or severe state, or when your pet's behavior decreases into an infrequent or occasional state. Learn how to change your notification settings here. You will only be notified with valid data, and never estimated data.

How to use this with your vet

If you start to notice some unusual behavior and are planning on scheduling a vet visit, use the “Email a Vet” button to send the link to your vet so you can monitor your pet’s health together. We worked closely with vets in making this Health Report a helpful tool for them to efficiently identify anything unusual with your pet, and continue to use the link post vet visit to monitor how the behavior reacts to treatment.

We recommend walking your vet through the health report in your initial visit, as this might be a new tool for them. In addition, if you have any complications with your device or data, contact our customer support.  Our customer support team is ready and trained to help answer those questions.
